Edgar Escobar has been named vice president of government guaranteed loans at Stone Bank.
Escobar joins Stone Bank from Veritex Bank in Dallas, Texas, where he served as a vice president. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Management from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. He recently graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, earning a graduate banking degree.
In his new role, Escobar will support Stone Bank’s government guaranteed lending efforts, including programs offered through the U.S. Small Business Administration
(SBA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). He brings extensive experience in SBA and USDA lending throughout his career, helping businesses access financing solutions to support growth and economic development.
Escobar was recognized as the 2026 Coleman SBA Business Development Officer of the Year for outstanding contributions to SBA lending.
