Russell brings more than 25 years of banking experience, with extensive expertise in SBA and commercial lending, credit analysis, portfolio management and borrower relationship management. His background includes managing complex SBA portfolios, evaluating financial performance and credit risk, and developing solutions for a wide range of commercial banking relationships.
Most recently, Russell served as Vice President, Business Banking Workout Manager III with M&T Bank, managing high-risk commercial and SBA relationships. He previously served as Vice President, Government Programs Operations Manager II, where he oversaw the servicing and risk management of an SBA commercial loan portfolio and served as an SBA subject matter expert for lending, credit and workout teams.
Throughout his career, Russell has developed extensive knowledge of SBA lending and regulatory requirements and has provided training and guidance to lending and credit professionals on SBA lending and credit risk management.
In his new role at Stone Bank, Russell will focus on developing and managing SBA relationships, providing financing solutions to business customers and supporting the continued growth of the bank’s SBA lending program.
