Stone Bank Elevates Three Senior Officers

Nick Roach, President of Stone Bank, has announced that three senior officers have been promoted to new positions.

  • Joe Dunn, a SVP and Senior Lender, has been elevated to the position of Chief Lending Officer
  • Blake Fletcher, SVP and Senior Lender at the bank’s Little Rock location, will now serve as Little Rock Market President.
  • Sandy Straessle, SVP of Retail Banking, assumes the position of Chief Retail Banking Officer

“All three of these veteran financial professionals have been instrumental in the rapid growth of Stone Bank,” said Roach. “They have exhibited exceptional leadership qualities, and we’re very fortunate to have them on our team.”

Joe Dunn is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College, the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. He is a board member and acting Chairman of the Johnny Heflin Youth Foundation, and was recently added to the Arkansas Bankers Association board of directors.

Blake Fletcher has been a community banker and commercial lender for twenty-three years and with Stone Bank since October 2015. Blake graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. He also received a diploma from Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Additional training was pursued in construction and consumer lending through the Arkansas Bankers’ Association. Course work was also completed in Asset/Liability Management. He served on the Arkansas Bankers Association’s Emerging Leaders Council as President, as well as on the Government Relations Committee.

Sandy Straessle has been serving the bank as a Senior Vice President in charge of retail operations for the bank’s branch system and also as senior training officer. Prior to joining Stone Bank in 2016, she had 15 years experience at Regions Bank, where she served as senior vice president for retail administration and group branch manager over seven Little Rock locations. A Little Rock native and graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, she is also a 2020 graduate of Leadership Arkansas and completed the Sales & Marketing School at the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking in 2022.
